Attraction Marketing, Does it Really Work

Attraction Marketing is where you are taught to market yourself. You market yourself by giving value to who you are. Basically your making yourself an asset that will in turn attract people to you. This is the foundation of attraction marketing. The idea isn't bad, but most people that teach about attraction marketing teach you to use social media outlets to build up your persona. To do this, you're told to friend as many people as you can on Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. There's even little tricks they'll teach you to that you can use that will automatically add friends to your MySpace. You'll be told to place ads and to do article marketing. The thing is, it is good to create the brand of "You," but I think it's taught the wrong way. Doing these things that I mentioned above will ony turn people off. Or the only people doing it are others who are trying to do attraction marketing. This is a very poor way to build a business.

With any attraction marketing thing you come across, you'll probably notice really fast that they all want some sort of money for them to tell you their secrets. In general, it's not a bad idea to pay someone for their expertise. When your being told to friend as many people as you can on social media outlets, and place some free ads and purchase more and more things that they offer, it starts to feel like a sink hole.

I would say don't waste your money, unless you're looking for a way to build up social media sites. As to if it works or not, I have to say there are some people who have been successful with attraction marketing, BUT for the majority of us it won't work.
