So you think you have a broken toe, the first thing you will notice is a lot of pain. Sometimes you can stub your toe and the pain will feel similar to that of a broken toe. The difference between a broken toe and a stubbed toe is that a stubbed toe pain will gradually start to go away. Your toe will still be sore and tender when you walk on it. If your toe is broken, the pain does not slowly go away. Another way to know for sure if your toe is broken is anytime you move it, you'll experience extreme pain. It will be the same when it comes to walking, any sort of pressure you put on your (hurt) toe will cause extreme pain. Also, if you try to put your foot in a shoe or any sort of restricting sort of thing, you will experience shooting pain up your foot and to that toe.
