Removing Hair Color Dye With Tide
What to do to Remove Hair Coloring
Whether you have colored your hair for the first time or you are a seasoned "pro" at coloring your hair, we all have had those moments where the hair color did not come out the way we thought it would. There are products out there that claim to remove hair coloring but what they do is strip the hair and leave it in horrible condition. If you use one of these hair color removers it will pull alll the color out of your hair leaving it a white/blondish color. It will also take all the moisture out of your hair leaving it extremely dry and damaged ! I would stay away from any of these products. I have used them in the past and regretted it !
What does work great is powdered Tide. Do not try using liquid Tide, it will not work. After you rinse out your hair coloring and it's not all all what you thought it would be, go buy powdered Tide. Do not get the Tide with any bleach, bleach alternatives, or added scents like Downy or Febreeze. Once home, just put a golf ball sized amount in your hands and put it on your hair. Gradually add water and work up a lather on your head. Keep adding the Tide until your whole head has a thick rich lather on it. Leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse it out.
After it's all rinsed out, I would apply some of the conditioner that came with your haircoloring. Let is sit on your hair for 2-3 minutes and then rinse.
